    Opera’s Greatest Hits!

    October 22 & 30 | 7:30pm, October 24 | 2:00pm

You know the tunes—you’ll love the stars!

From “Nessun dorma” to “La mamma morta”—enjoy this cavalcade of iconic showstoppers!

Famous arias and ensembles from Puccini’s Turandot; Verdi’s Aida, Mefistofele, Otello, and Macbeth; Mozart’s Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro; Verdi’s Il trovatore; Boito’s Mefistofele; Handel’s Agrippina; Britten’s Peter Grimes; and more!

The music that makes people fall in love with opera forever…

Hear a constellation of international stars, including sopranos Maria Agresta, Kathryn Lewek, Ewa Płonka, and Lauren Snouffer—countertenor Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen—tenor Gregory Kunde—baritone Gabriele Viviani—and bass-baritones Mark S. Doss and Michael Sumuel.

Featuring The Dallas Opera Orchestra conducted by Maestro Emmanuel Villaume.

The Stars of Opera’s Greatest Hits!

Maria Agresta –  This Italian soprano is a favorite at companies including Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Met.

Kathryn Lewek –  Her Salzburg Festival performances drew rave reviews, including “A wonderful comedienne and a spectacular singer.”—LA Times

Ewa Płonka – You’ll love this Polish soprano star who excels in big dramatic roles like Tosca and Turandot. Please note: Soprano Alexandra Loutsion replaces Ewa Płonka on October 30.

Lauren Snouffer – A Texas native, she’s hailed as one of the most versatile and vivacious sopranos on the international scene.

Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen – From cantor to countertenor sensation, Cohen is “extravagantly gifted.”—San Francisco Chronicle

Gregory Kunde – A big-time singer with a big-time voice, this tenor superstar will rock the Winspear with Puccini’s “Nessun dorma”!

Gabriele Viviani – He’ll thrill audiences with one of Verdi’s greatest masterworks—the aria in which the murderous Macbeth contemplates his bleak future.

Mark S. Doss – This Grammy Award-winning phenom will have everyone cheering with two famous arias from two iconic “bad guys” —Don Giovanni and Mefistofele!

Michael Sumuel – As Figaro, this proud son of Texas wowed audiences in San Francisco—and he’ll do it again in Dallas!

NOTE: The October 22 performance will be filmed for future distribution via digital stream on thedallasopera.TV.

Online sales close two hours prior to performance start time. Walk-up sales welcome at the Winspear Box Office, which opens 90 minutes before each performance.
