GRETCHEN KRUPP (USA) is a soloist in The Hart Institute for Women Conductors Showcase this year. In 2020 she returned to Wolf Trap Opera as a Filene Artist, performing a variety of opera scenes in virtual programs, including music by Tchaikovsky, Gluck, Monteverdi, and Humperdinck. She recently made her European debut as Samira/The Ghosts of Versailles at the Château de Versailles Spectacles. In summer 2019 she debuted that role at The Glimmerglass Festival, where she also sang Mrs. Noye/Noye’s Fludde. In 2019, she also made her mainstage debut with Greensboro Opera as the Witch/Hansel and Gretel. Krupp competed in the Grand Finals of the 2018 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and the finals of the 2017 Concert of Arias at Houston Grand Opera. Her training includes apprenticeships with The Glimmerglass Festival, Wolf Trap Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Dolora Zajick’s Institute for Young Dramatic Voices.
