General Questions
thedallasopera.TV is not a traditional cable or broadcast channel on your television. Like Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming platforms, thedallasopera.TV is a service that you can access on an internet browser just like amazon.com or dallasopera.org.
thedallasopera.TV is also available through a branded app that you can download on your phone, tablet, or your app-enabled Smart TV.
From your computer, tablet, or phone’s internet browser, type “thedallasopera.TV” to access the site or click here. To access content available on thedallasopera.TV, simply fill out the registration form to access free content and pay-per-view performances in our ‘Originals’ collection.
If you opt-in to our email updates, you will be among the first to hear about new programs as they become available.
Once you’ve registered, sign in by clicking “Sign In” at the top right corner of the thedallasopera.TV home screen and enter your credentials.
Many programs are available free with registration, like full length performances from The Dallas Opera stage, our popular TDO Network series, and educational programs. Original concert and film productions are available to rent for a limited time like you would a movie rental or special sporting event.
You can watch thedallasopera.TV on any internet-accessible device. Here are the options:
- From any internet-enabled device (computer, tablet, or phone), go to thedallasopera.TV to watch content.
- Download the thedallasopera.TV app on your tablet or phone, or on a TV-connected device such as Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, or Roku.
- You can access thedallasopera.TV content both for free and on a pay-per-view basis, like you would buy a sporting event or movie from your cable TV provider.

How to Watch
Navigate to thedallasopera.TV on your web browser and fill out the registration form to start watching! thedallasopera.TV is available for all internet browsers except Internet Explorer, which is no longer supported on Windows-based computers.
thedallasopera.TV app is available online at the Apple App Store for iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices. It’s also on the Google Play Store for Android devices.
Navigate to the app store for your device and search “thedallasopera.TV” to download the app. Once you have downloaded the app, simply log in to your account to start watching!
thedallasopera.TV app is available on streaming TV devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, and Roku.
Also, you can connect your computer to your TV with an HDMI cord, or navigate to thedallasopera.TV using the web browser on your Smart TV.
From the Amazon Fire home screen, select “Search” from the top navigation bar. Type in thedallasopera.TV, then select it from the search results. Click “Get” to download the app.
You will find the thedallasopera.TV app in the “Apps” section on the top navigation bar. The first time you open the thedallasopera.TV app on your TV, you will be prompted to log in. After your initial log in, you can open thedallasopera.TV and start watching whenever you’d like.
From the Android TV home screen, scroll to “Apps.” Select the Google Play app. At the top of the screen, select “Search” and type in thedallasopera.TV. Select “Install” to download the app. The first time you open the app on your TV, you will be prompted to log in. After your initial log in, you can open thedallasopera.TV and start watching whenever you’d like.
From the home screen of your Apple TV, launch the App Store. Select the “Search” option from the top bar and type in thedallasopera.TV. Click on “Get” and then click “Buy” to confirm (it’s a free app, so you won’t be charged). The first time you open the thedallasopera.TV app on your TV, you will be prompted to log in. After your initial log in, you can open thedallasopera.TV and start watching whenever you’d like.
From the home screen on your Roku device, click “Streaming Channels” on the left sidebar. This will open Roku’s channel store. Select “Search Channels” and type in thedallasopera.TV. Select thedallasopera.TV and click “Add Channel.” This will add the thedallasopera.TV app to your Roku home screen. The first time you open the thedallasopera.TV app on your TV, you will be prompted to log in. After your initial log in, you can open thedallasopera.TV and start watching whenever you’d like.
If you do not own one of the streaming media devices above, you can still watch thedallasopera.TV on your TV! One feature on most TVs is the HDMI port, and in most cases, you can connect your computer to your TV using an HDMI cable.
Usually, HDMI ports are found at the back of your TV. Attach your HDMI cable to this socket and plug the other end into the computer you will use for streaming. Most Windows PCs come with an HDMI port, but if you have a MacBook or another Apple computer, you will need an adapter.
Once you connect your HDMI cable, you may need to change your TV input settings to display your computer screen. Use your remote control to find the Source Menu, and select the source associated with the port where your cable is plugged in. This source is often labeled something like “HDMI1” or “HDMI2.” You may also need to change the sound settings on your computer to ensure the TV is projecting the sound.
Once you are set up, your TV should mirror your computer screen, and any actions you take on your computer will be visible on your TV.
If your Smart TV has a web browser function, use this browser to navigate to thedallasopera.TV. Open the web browser and type thedallasopera.TV into the address bar just like on a computer. Log in to your account by selecting the “Sign In” button in the upper right-hand corner. Once logged in, you can view any thedallasopera.TV digital production directly from your Smart TV.
