Meet tenor Christian Leon Patterson. Based in Dallas and originally from Memphis, Christian will receive his Performer’s Diploma from Southern Methodist University this spring. Recent roles include Ferrando, Sam Kaplan, and Chevalier de la Force. Offstage, Christian has been finding ways to continue growing despite the pandemic: the tenor has not only been studying roles, but also to become a certified personal trainer. “There are always areas that you can work on, that you can improve. That is how I try to carry myself, not only as a singer, but, most importantly, as a human being.
