From Shanghai, soprano Yuhui Yang a fourth-year doctoral student at University of North Texas. She also studied at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Manhattan School of Music. Previous credits include Musetta (La bohème), Cupid (Orpheus in the Underworld), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). With UNT Opera, she has performed as Adele (Die Fledermaus), Despina (Così fan tutte), and Cendrillon (Cendrillon), amongst others. In 2023, she was Mobile Opera’s Madame Rose Palmai-Tenser Scholarship Competition First Runner-up.
