Russian soprano Venera Gimadieva has quickly become one of the most sought-after lyric coloratura sopranos in Europe. Her performances include Violetta in La traviata at Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, La Fenice, Opéra National de Paris, and Glyndebourne Festival Opera; the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor at Semperoper Dresden, Teatro Real, Madrid, and Bayerische Staatsoper; and The Queen of Shemakha in The Golden Cockerel at La Monnaie, Brussels, Teatro Real, Madrid, and Santa Fe Opera. Engagements in the 2018-19 season include Violetta in La traviata at Washington National Opera and Aminain La Sonnambula at Deutsche Oper Berlin.
