
Sripal Medara Metla, eleven years old, is a classically trained treble singer from the Greater Dallas Choral Society. He has been passionate about music and singing since he was very young, leading to numerous stage and solo appearances in Dallas-area community events. Sripal began Carnatic music training at the age of four, and also studies piano, guitar, marimba, and viola. For five consecutive years, he won first place in the North American Telugu Society Singing Competition. Sripal starred in several leading roles in productions at his elementary school and currently plays in the school orchestra at DeWitt Perry Middle School in Carrollton. Operatically, he made his solo and ensemble debut performances with The Dallas Opera as Shepherd Boy in Puccini’s Tosca and in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel.
