Samuel PJ Lopez, Tenor, from Fajardo, Puerto Rico has been a member of the Dallas
Opera chorus since the 2015-16 season and recently appeared in a supporting role as the
Registrar in Madame Butterfly in 2017. Previous roles include Don Jose in Carmen with Opera
in the Ozarks, Alfredo in La Traviata, Eisenstien in Die Fledermaus and Sam in Sussannah as a
student at Stephen F. Austin State University. He was a Semi-Finalist in the McCammon Fort
Worth Opera competition and while at SFASU he was a Concerto/Aria Competition Finalist and
Recitalist of the Year.
