Quodesia D. Johnson continues to forge a diverse and exciting career in arts and culture. Utilizing her background as an administrator, speaker, musician, and teaching artist, Quodesia is committed to providing authentic arts experiences and lasting impact through art, education, community, and creativity. As an advocate for true equity, diversity, access, and inclusion, she serves local, national, and international communities as a speaker, workshop facilitator, and advisor to help remove race and gender barriers in the arts. Miss Johnson is a Steering Committee Member of OPERA America’s ALAANA Opera Network, advising and working with the international organization to foster racial and ethnic equity within the opera field. Proud to call the Dallas Arts District and its many organizations her home, she served as the Guest Services Coordinator of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for seven years and currently serves as the Education and Company Culture Manager of The Dallas Opera. Additional roles in the arts include Board of Director for Friends of WRR, Board of Director for Bishop Arts Theatre Center, and Founding Co-Chair of the Dallas Black Dance Theatre’s Young Professionals Group, Encore! Partners. The Dallas native received her BA in Music with a minor in Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University and is currently earning her MA in Arts Administration from Goucher College. Quodesia D. Johnson is a 2019-2020 Grant Awardee of the American Association of University Women Career Development Grant and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity.
