Olivia Duncan is a mezzo-soprano from Orange County California. She attended Oberlin Conservatory where she received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance. She recently graduated from Southern Methodist University with her master’s in music. It was there that she appeared as Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina as well as Mrs. Gibbs in Ned Rorem’s Our Town. She has also enjoyed many ensemble positions in productions such as Cendrillon, Les Mamelles de Tiresias, and The Marriage of Figaro. In addition to performance she has held numerous positions backstage as both director and stage manager. She has recently appeared as Barcarolle the dog in The Bremen Town Musicians, The Dallas Opera’s outreach program.
