Meryl Dominguez, soprano, is currently in her final year of residency at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. This summer she returned to Santa Fe Opera where she made her debut singing Naiade (Ariadne auf Naxos). Previously as an Apprentice Artist with the Santa Fe Opera she covered the role of Oberto in David Alden’s production of Alcina. For the Academy of Vocal Arts she performed a variety of roles including Violetta (La traviata), Zerbinetta in (Ariadne auf Naxos), Die Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), the title role in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Rosalinde inJohann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus and Adina (L’elisir d’amore).
