Jordan Hammons, tenor, is a native of Alabama. Mr. Hammons has been seen as Macheath in Britten’s The Beggar’s Opera, Il Podestà in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera, Aeneas in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and the First Armored Man in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. He has been a featured soloist in DuBois’s The Seven Last Words of Christ, Bach’s Magnificat, as well as Britten’s Serenade and Canticle III: Still Falls the Rain. Mr. Hammons holds a Bachelor of Arts from Millsaps College and a Performer’s Diploma and Master of Music Degree from Southern Methodist University where he was awarded the Roy and Sue Johnson Award for excellence in opera in 2015.
