The baritone, a Dallas native, has performed leading roles on stages throughout the United States and abroad. Bryan is an alumnus of The Atlanta Opera Studio, Wolf Trap Opera, and The Glimmerglass Festival. A 2019 Georgia District winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, he joined Washington National Opera for the 2020/2021 season as a Cafritz Young Artist to portray Marcello/La bohème, as well as various virtual and local performances by the studio throughout the COVID-19 season. In 2019/2020 he returned to The Atlanta Opera for his second season as that company’s resident studio baritone, during which he was heard as the First Nazarene/Salome. He made his international debut on stage at the Château de Versailles as Beaumarchais/The Ghosts of Versailles, a portrayal he previously debuted at Glimmerglass. Bryan has also sung Baron Douphol/La Traviata at The Atlanta Opera, as well as at Glimmerglass (where he debuted in 2018 as Lieutenant Gordon/Kevin Puts’s Silent Night). He has sung with such major ensembles as the Buffalo Philharmonic and the National Symphony Orchestra.
