JANINE DWORIN, mezzo-soprano, is a second-year master’s student at the University of North Texas where she studies with Dr. Stephen Austin. An Austin native, she completed her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Houston Moores School of Music in 2019. Previous roles include Madame de la Haltière (Cendrillon), Estelle Oglethorpe (Later the Same Evening), Orfeo (Orfeo ed Euridice), Strega Nona (Strega Nona), Zulma (L’italiana in Algeri), Mama McCourt (The Ballad of Baby Doe), Betty Parris (The Crubible), Sandmann (Hänsel und Gretel), Malacorpa (The Inspector), Semraldina (The Love for Three Oranges), and Ms. Copeland (Dinner at Eight). Janine has also sung internationally; she won the Harold Heiberg Liedersängerpreis for her Lied interpretations at the 2017 AIMS in Graz summer program.
