COURTNEY STANCIL (USA), a Houston native currently residing in Dallas, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University in 2012, where she portrayed Adele/Die Fledermaus, Susanna/The Marriage of Figaro, Papagena/The Magic Flute, and Belinda/Dido and Aeneas. The soprano then earned a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at Southern Methodist University, where she appeared as Mrs. Hayes/Susannah and Serpetta/La finta giardiniera. She worked in The Dallas Opera Education Outreach program for four seasons as a Teaching Artist and was featured with the program as Despina/The Three Little Pigs and Dorabella/The Bremen Town Musicians.
