During her 2020 debut with Sol Mayor Festival, mezzo-soprano Claire Choquette was hailed as an ‘enveloping presence’ with ‘impeccable vocal management’ by Paraguay’s ABC Color. Her notable roles include Hansel (Hansel & Gretel, Opera Amici), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon, Universidad Nacional del Paraguay), Angelina (La Cenerentola, Opera Festival de Roma), Autumn (Service Provider, Painted Sky Opera), and Dot (Sunday in the Park with George), Dinah (Trouble in Tahiti), Zosia (Two Remain), and the title role cover in Elizabeth Cree at Louisiana State University. In concert, Claire has performed numerous times as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional del Paraguay. She earned a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance at the University of North Texas and Master of Music at Louisiana State University.
