The Louisiana-born soprano makes her debut with Opera Las Vegas in the West Coast premiere of Ricky Ian Gordon’s The House Without a Christmas Tree, before returning to Arizona Opera for its 50th anniversary season as Despina/Così fan tutte. As a member of the Marion Roose Pullin Arizona Opera Studio, she performed mainstage leading and supporting roles including standard repertoire (Musetta/La bohème, Susanna/The Marriage of Figaro, Annina/La traviata) as well as contemporary roles (Bess/Riders of the Purple Sage, the Maid/Shining Brow in its Taliesin West premiere, Chan Parker/Charlie Parker’s Yardbird, and Lucy/Fellow Travelers). Another highlight in contemporary repertoire includes Clara/It’s A Wonderful Life (Indiana University). Bryan spent three seasons as an Apprentice and Ensemble Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera, singing Clarine/Platée, Prilepa/The Queen of Spades, and Second Wood Sprite/Rusalka (Emmy Award-winning production). The soprano is a former participant in Ravinia’s prestigious Steans Music Institute, where she performed in multiple recitals and masterclasses while working with world-renowned coaches and collaborative pianists. Bryan holds degrees from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and Louisiana State University.
