Ardeen Pierre (Veronica) Haitian-American soprano, Ardeen Pierre, is currently seeking her Performance Diploma at Southern Methodist University under the tutelage of Barbara Hill-Moore, and recently completed her Master of Music at Rice University. At Rice University, Ms. Pierre performed the role of Arminda from Mozart’s La finta giardiniera. Ms. Pierre recently performed the role of Olivia from Nkeiru Okoye’s Home of My Ancestors with Houston Grand Opera CoOperative (HGOco). In the summer of 2018, Ms. Pierre performed the role of Contessa Almaviva from Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro in Lucca, Italy with Accademia Europea Dell’Opera. Ms. Pierre was also a member of the Houston Grand Opera chorus in the productions of La bohème, Florencia en el Amazonas, The Pearl Fishers, and Tarik O’Regan’s world premiere opera, The Phoenix.
