Airam Hernández has become one of the most promising tenors of his generation. Former member of the Opera Studio and soloists Ensemble of the Zurich Opera House. He has sung the roles of Alfredo in La Traviata at Perm Opera, Thêátre du Capitole in Toulouse, Luxembourg, Dortmund and Hamburg, and soon at Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Edgardo in Lucia de Lammermoor at the Opéra de Lausanne, and the title role in Gounod’s Faust at Opera de Tenerife. He has also sung the title role in the world premiere of Lizst’s opera Sardanapalo, and the role of Caruso in the world premiere of Caruso a Cuba at Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam. He has been conducted by Fabio Luisi, Nicola Luisotti, Carlo Rizzi, James Conlon, Teodor Currentzis, Omer Meir Wellber, Francesco Ivan Ciampa and Nello Santi, among others. He has performed lyric galas with Plácido Domingo, Ana María Martínez, Veselina Kasarova and Jessica Pratt, among many others. Future engagements will lead him to Téâtre du Capitole of Toulouse to debut Pollione in Norma and Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona to debut Fernando in Doña Francisquita.
