Enjoy a captivating evening with author Rena Pederson who will lead a lecture on her recent page-turner, The King of Diamonds—The Search for the Elusive Texas Jewel Thief. It’s a juicy read, peppered with bits of Dallas Opera history—expect to hear familiar names and stories of Dallas Opera patrons from the 1960s and 1970s.
Ms. Pederson served on the Pulitzer Prize Board and was recognized as one of Texas Monthly‘s most powerful women during her 16-year tenure as Vice President and Editorial Page Editor at The Dallas Morning News. She has interviewed world figures such as Margaret Thatcher, Fidel Castro, Princess Grace, and Julia Child. Her first book, What’s Next? was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s show.
