
Lyric soprano Sylvia D’Eramo stars as Mimì in The Dallas Opera’s current production of La bohème. Her voice is lauded for its “purity of timbre.” She studied at the Yale School of Music and with the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, LA Opera’s Domingo-Colburn-Stein Young Artist Program, and Palm Beach Opera’s Benenson Young Artist Program. She also apprenticed at Santa Fe Opera. D’Eramo has performed with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Tivoli Symphony Orchestra, among others. She originated the roles of Gerda Wegener in Lili Elbe at Theater St. Gallen (2023) and Kitty/Vanessa in The Hours at The Metropolitan Opera (2022). D’Eramo can be heard on Albany Records’ 2017 recording of The Crucible by Robert Ward in the role of Abigail Williams. She is a winner in the Lois Alba Aria Competition and the recipient of an of an encouragement award from the Career Bridges Foundation. In addition, she placed third in TDO’s 2022 National Vocal Competition.
