James Scott is a costume Designer for opera companies and theaters throughout the United States. Productions include The Barber of Seville for Washington National Opera (1995–1996, 200–2001 and 2009); Il Trovatore, Norma and Tosca for Minnesota Opera; Love’s Labours Lost for the New York Shakespeare Festival; Sweeney Todd for Portland Opera; A Christmas Carol for Great Lakes Theater Festival; Rodelinda for Santa Barbara’s Music Academy of the West, Othello for The Acting Company; The Umbrellas of Cherbourg at for Sundance Theatre, and several works for Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, including She Loves Me, Black Coffee, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and Into the Woods.
