Gary McCann works as set and costume designer for theatre and opera in the UK and internationally. Design credits include: Der Freischütz, Macbeth (Vienna State Opera); Die Fledermaus (Norwegian National Opera); Anna Bolena (Royal Opera de Wallonie, Opera de Lausanne, Royal Opera Muscat, Bilbao Opera); Carmen (Opera Philadelphia, Seattle Opera); La Traviata (Philadelphia Opera, Bucharest National Opera); Madam Butterfly, The Bartered Bride, The Barber of Seville, La Voix Humaine, L’Heure Espagnole, Ariadne Auf Naxos (Nederlandse Reisopera); and Faramondo (Brisbane Baroque). Gary previously created the set and costume designs for Becoming Santa Claus with The Dallas Opera. His work has been exhibited three times at the V&A museum in London, most recently as part of the Make:Believe exhibition.
