    Mezzo-soprano Eve Gigliotti has won critical acclaim for her work spanning both the dramatic repertoire and contemporary opera, notably, originating the roles of Ruth in the world premiere of Dark Sisters (Muhly/Karam), and Dodo in the world premiere of Breaking the Waves (Mazzoli/Vavrek). Performing regularly at The Metropolitan Opera, Ms. Gigliotti debuted the roles of Madame de la Haltière in a performance of Cinderella, and Gertrude in two performances Brett Dean’s critically acclaimed Hamlet, as well as roles in The Rake’s Progress, Rigoletto, Boris Gudonov, La Traviata, Elektra, Dialogues des Carmélites, and Mary in Der fliegende Holländer. She premiered the role of Nelly and sang one performance of Sally in the world premiere of The Hours (Putz/Pierce). In concert she has premiered Elgar’s The Kingdom, Taneyev’s At The Reading of a Psalm and Smyth’s Mass in D with the American Symphony Orchestra, A Trip to the Moon (Norman) with the LA Philharmonic, Verdi Requiem with the Baltimore Symphony, and Gertrude in Hamlet (Thomas) with Washington Concert Opera. Her collaborative short film ‘A Jarful of Bees’ was featured at Opera Philadelphia’s Season O22 Film Festival and is featured on the Opera Philadelphia Channel. As producer, projects include the original opera, No One Is Forgotten (Prestini & Shirey/Miller), to be premiered as an opera in the form of radio play using surround sound technology with The Dallas Opera, and ‘Untitled’ miniatures of a life, a set of operatic monologues inspired by Cindy Sherman’s Film Stills. 

    Ms.Gigliotti has performed with San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Opera Parallèle, Seattle Symphony, LA Philharmonic, Washington National Opera, Washington Concert Opera, Opera Philadelphia, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and Minnesota Opera among others. She is featured as Siegrune of Die Walküre from The Metropolitan Opera, which won the Grammy Award for Best Operatic Recording. During the 2020/2021 season she starred in the virtual opera, ‘Alice in the Pandemic’ (Sosa/Jacobs), with White Snake Projects, and was featured in 21C Liederabend Op. Worldwide (Digital) and AllArts/WNET, with ‘A Jarful of Bees’ (Prestini/Vavrek), collaborating on original story development and vocals. Eve holds degrees from The Manhattan School of Music, Mannes The New School for Music and The Curtis Institute of Music.
