Clare O’Donoghue has designed lighting for theatre, opera, and dance throughout the UK and abroad. In 2012 she was part of the team creating the Olympic Rings for the London Olympics Opening Ceremony. As well as designing her own work, Clare has toured throughout the UK and Europe with various companies including National Theatre, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures, and Headlong and has also supervised operas for Glyndebourne and English National Opera, and has revived lighting on productions for the Royal Opera House when performed abroad. She was the Deputy Lighting Manager at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and continues to design lighting for dance, as well as site specific and mainstream theatre.
