Adam Abeshouse has produced and engineered recordings for 20 major labels, among them Bridge, DG, Sony, BMG, Angel-EMI, Hyperion, and Naxos, as well as for National Public Radio and the Library of Congress. Winner of two Grammy Awards and two Echo Klassik awards, Abeshouse has worked with such artists as soprano Heidi Grant Murphy and mezzo-soprano Lorraine Hunt Lieberson; violinists Itzhak Perlman and Joshua Bell; pianists Emanuel Ax, Leon Fleisher, Gray Graffman, and Garrick Ohlsson; the Guarneri, Juilliard, and Fine Arts quartets; major orchestras in New York, Boston, London, and St. Petersburg; and composers George Crumb, André Previn, Peter Schickele, and Charles Wuorinen. In 2002 Abeshouse founded the Classical Recording Foundation to meet the growing need for artists not supported by major labels to be able to record music about which they are passionate. Abeshouse, who began his career as a violinist after earning a master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music, has performed with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, American Ballet Theater, City Ballet, Concordia, The Metropolitan String Quartet, and chamber music festivals nationwide.
