JENNIE MOSER
The coloratura soprano’s most recent roles include Gretel/Hansel and Gretel and Zerbinetta/Ariadne auf Naxos, both with Indiana University Opera Theater. She’s also appeared at IU in Peter Grimes and as soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42. Previously, at Northwestern University, she was featured in Little Women, The Impresario, and Le nozze di Figaro. In 2016, she was part of the Brevard Music Center’s Janiec Opera Company, singing the First Lady/The Magic Flute. She also trained at the prestigious Aspen Opera Center. Particularly accomplished in contemporary music, Jennie had the privilege of performing as soprano soloist in Augusta Read Thomas’s Of Being is a Bird with the Indiana University New Music Ensemble; with conductor Donald Nally as soprano soloist in Morton Feldman’s Rothko Chapel; and as soprano soloist in David Lang’s A House, another world premiere. Jennie received a 2017 and 2018 Encouragement Awards from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (Indiana District). Jennie completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance at Northwestern University.
