Career highlights: Starring in leading roles nationwide, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Doche’s 2025 performances include the title role of La Cenerentola with Fort Worth Opera, Sesto in La clemenza di Tito with Washington Concert Opera, and the title roles in The Tragedy of Carmen and Carmen with Tulsa Opera and Opera Memphis, respectively. In 2024 she performed Suzuki in Madama Butterfly with San Diego Opera, Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi with Teatro Nuovo in her Lincoln Center debut, and Rosina in The Barber of Seville with Indianapolis Opera and Salt Marsh Opera. Named the Grand Prize Winner of the 2023 Young Texas Artists Music Competition, Doche has also received awards from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, D’Angelo Young Artist Vocal Competition, Orpheus Vocal Competition, Camille Coloratura Awards, and SAS Performing Arts Company and Studios, Inc. Vocal Competition.
