Soprano Sarah Elise Navy is a Houston native. She attended Lawrence University where she received a B.M. in Voice Performance. A member of the Meadows Lyric Theatre Ensemble, Navy performed the roles of Bianca in The Rape of Lucretia, and the title role in Suor Angelica. She is continuing her studies as a candidate for a Performance Diploma in Voice Performance. When not singing opera, she enjoys teaching young singers, advocating for Black singers in opera and classical music, and leading worship in her church.
