Baritone Joseph Canuto Leon holds a Master of Music from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Music from Iowa State University. Mr. Leon has been featured with Charlottesville Opera, American Baroque Opera, Opera on the James, Opera in the Rock, AVA Russian Opera Workshop, Opera in Concert, and Diversit Opera. Previous roles include title role/Eugene Onegin, Baron Zeta/The Merry Widow, The Father/Hansel and Gretel, Belcore/The Elixir of Love, and Ford/Falstaff. Mr. Leon received his professional training as an Education Artist at The Dallas Opera and as an Ader Emerging Artist with Charlottesville Opera.
