    Garden Serenades

    The Dallas Opera and members of the Dallas Opera Orchestra present a series of free weekend chamber concerts in a variety of outdoor settings, celebrating spring and the return of live performances. See below for a list of dates and venues. Each performance will include two 40-minute sets with a 30-minute break. Programs and artists are subject to change.

    DALLAS MUSEUM OF ART

    Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 1:00 pm

    Members of The Dallas Opera Orchestra: 
    Ami Campbell, violin | Junsoo Park, violin | Liesl-Ann deVilliers, viola | Shawna Hamilton, cello | Kirby Nunez, bass

    Program to include Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, Vivaldi’s “Spring” from The Four Seasons, and additional arrangements of opera selections. Concert performed in the outdoor sculpture garden.

    Note: Free general admission entry to the DMA now requires a timed ticket secured in advance in order to maintain a limited capacity. Reserve your ticket now. More information on DMA visitor guidelines can be found here.

    DALLAS ARTS DISTRICT CHANGING PERSPECTIVES BLOCK PARTY

    Saturday, April 17, 9:00 pm (approximate performance time; 10 minutes only)

    Members of The Dallas Opera Orchestra: 
    Katie Wolber, horn | John Holt, trumpet | Rick Bogard, trumpet | Tony Baker, trombone | Jeff Baker, tuba

    Program to include Dukas’ Fanfare from La Péri, Canzona Bergamasca, and the Sonata from Die Bankelsangerlieder.

    Note: Performance is free, but capacity is limited due to the pandemic. To safely manage audience size, guests must RSVP through www.TicketDFW.org.

    KLYDE WARREN PARK

    Program to include Dukas’ Fanfare from La Péri, Tylman Susato’s Renaissance Dances, and additional arrangements of opera selections. Concert performed at the KWP Pavilion; food trucks will be available (weather permitting).

    DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN

    Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, 1:00 pm

    NASHER SCULPTURE CENTER

    The Saturday, May 1 performance was cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.
