The Dallas Museum of Art is earning well-deserved kudos for it’s new “State of the Arts” series in the Horchow Auditorium, which explores “the creative process and the nature of performance.” Down the road, you’ll have a chance to hear our own Music Director Graeme Jenkins and the DTC’s Kevin Moriarty expound upon their views of the local arts scene but you don’t have to wait until February – there are programs of great interest to opera lovers right now.
A case in point is the pairing of Kim Campbell of the Dallas Wind Symphony and Artists Frances Bagley and Tom Orr, who designed our groundbreaking 2006 production of Verdi’s “Nabucco” currently featured in the DMA’s “Performance/Art” exhibition. You’ll have a chance to revisit that production and Frances and Tom’s current thinking about the mixture of visual art and design and music at an upcoming edition of the program on January 28th at 7:00 pm.
