Jack’s mother sends him off to sell the family cow so they can use the money for food. However, Jack gets talked into buying some supposedly magic beans. But the beans are magic — sprouting into a cloud-high beanstalk that leads Jack up to a magic castle that’s filled with riches and occupied by a very mean giant with a very nice wife.
Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum….
And there’s more: the giant’s got a hen that lays golden coins that he stole from Jack!
But, what goes up must come down, and Jack does — the priceless hen in hand and a very angry giant in hot pursuit!
