First the good news: Placido Domingo is expected to make a full recovery. Now the bad: He apparently suffered a pulmonary embolism in Madrid, news that has rocked the opera world. The 72-year-old tenor (who made his U.S. debut many years ago with the Dallas Opera) was in Spain to begin rehearsals for “Il Postino.”
