The only thing that might be as much fun as dressing up for opening night of the Dallas Opera season is NOT dressing up and enjoying the very same opera (Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”)–for free–under the stars. That’s the motivation behind the Dallas Opera’s very first simulcast slated for opening night (Friday, October 22) in the green and welcoming Annette Strauss Square, adjacent to the Winspear Opera House in Downtown Dallas. The opera online fanzine “Barihunks” approves and Jerome Weeks of KERA’s “Art and Seek” blog has additional suggestions to make…about next time.
In case you missed it on the home page, here’s where to reserve your seat on the lawn. However, if you prefer you can skip the reservation altogether and show up with your own blanket – but the folks who have reserved seats will be sitting up front, FYI.
Hope to see you there!
