All I can say is: I woke with a start and sat straight up in bed when I heard the sound of water running. I stumbled over to the shower and there — I kid you not — there was Bobby, covered in “Irish Spring,” grinning like a possum and wishing me a “good morning!”
A dream…It was all a strange and curious dream…But I think it’s okay now…
Speaking of “What the heck happened?”:
Midway through a performance of a new opera at Covent Garden, a piece entitled “Into the Little Hill” (what, is this a children’s opera?), the electricity went out. In fact, according to the report in “The New York Times,” the stage went dark after the words “What are those sparks? Rats feeding on electricity” were sung.
Hmmm. At least the 400 members of the studio audience got free drinks when the performance moved to the lobby bar.
