Join us for an evening of free opera at The Star in Frisco!

The Dallas Opera, in partnership with The Star in Frisco and with support from our founding sponsor, The Dallas Foundation, is extremely proud to announce the company’s first simulcast at The Star in Frisco – and the fifteenth free Dallas Opera simulcast since 2010 – scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at The Star in Frisco, TX.

The action begins at 6:30pm co-hosted by KLUV Radio’s legendary on-air personality, Jody Dean and TDO’s own Education Program Senior Manager, Kristian Roberts! Pre-show activities include a special cartoon screening, interviews with the cast and crew, and trivia for Opera Swag!

Come early at 4:30pm and experience our Family Zone, presented by TDO’s Arc committee in partnership with the Texas Discovery Garden, with fun crafts, learning activities, Dallas Child’s Butterfly Photo Booth and more!

Pre-Simulcast Workshop

The Dallas Opera invites you to join us for a FREE 1-hour, interactive Workshop prior to its simulcast performance of Madame Butterfly at The Star in Frisco on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 5:00 pm. Geared toward grades K-6, the Workshop will contain music and visual arts activities designed to introduce Madame Butterfly to kids. Whether you’re an educator bringing a student group or a parent bringing your kids for a night with The Dallas Opera, you are welcome to join us for this educational and fun program! The curtain time for that evening’s live performance of Giacomo Puccini’s beloved 20th-century masterpiece, Madame Butterfly, from the Shannon and Ted Skokos Stage in the Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas is 7:30 p.m.

The simulcast of Madame Butterfly is made possible by Founding Sponsor The Dallas Foundation, with a grant awarded from the Jean Baptiste “Tad” Adoue III Fund of The Dallas Foundation.

After March 16, FREE tickets can be picked up at will call at the box office at Ford Center. The Ford Center Ticket Office is located at the southwest corner of Ford Center, and can be accessed through the plaza. The box office will open at 5:00 pm. Walk-ups welcome.
