La bohème Free Simulcast at AT&T Stadium, Saturday, March 21, 2015
Join us for an evening of free opera at AT&T Stadium!
The Dallas Opera, in partnership with AT&T Stadium and with support from our founding sponsor, The Dallas Foundation, is extremely proud to announce the company’s fourth stadium simulcast—and the tenth free Dallas Opera simulcast since 2010—scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, home of the Dallas Cowboys!
Parking is Free! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. The curtain time for that evening’s live performance of Giacomo Puccini’s beloved 19th-century masterpiece, La bohème, from the Shannon and Ted Skokos Stage in the Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas is 7:30 p.m.
Patrons will be able to enjoy this landmark live simulcast on the world’s largest high-definition video board structure, comprised of four massive viewing screens (the largest, 72 feet tall and 160 feet wide) suspended directly above the playing field.
Interested in bringing a group to the simulcast? Call our box office at 214.443.1000 and we will be happy to make those arrangements for you.
We also invite you to join us for a FREE 1-hour, interactive Opera Workshop prior to the simulcast performance. Geared toward grades K-6, the Opera Workshop will contain music and visual arts activities designed to introduce opera and the story of La bohème to kids. Whether you’re an educator bringing a student group or a parent bringing your kids for a night at the opera, you are welcome to join us for this educational and fun program!
Sign ups for the workshop will close Mar. 13, 2015 so be sure to sign up today! All workshop attendees will need a simulcast ticket to gain entry to the stadium. Bringing a large group to the workshop? Contact the box office at 214.443.1000 to request tickets for the simulcast.
Please note that The Dallas Opera will be taking photographs and video footage of the La bohème Opera Workshop for archival purposes. Photos and/or video footage from the Workshop may be used in materials distributed to teachers as part of the Opera’s education and community outreach programs.
