Actually, when the Dallas Opera stages a season-opener, it goes well beyond the ordinary. And these photos by TDO’s Luke McKenzie will give plenty of hints as to “why.” From the red carpet arrivals hosted by WFAA Morning Anchor Ron Corning, the fabulous fashions, the enthusiastic crowds, and the gorgeous weather–it was a night to savor from the very beginning right through the Dallas Opera Orchestra’s rendition of our national anthem. Moments later, it was…on to the opera! (Spoiler alert: someone will die onstage before the curtain comes down. But you guessed that already, right?)
