            DALLAS, June 28, 2017 – Fashionistas and arts lovers alike will flock to one of the most captivating fetes this fall, FIRST SIGHT FASHION SHOW AND LUNCHEON, NorthPark Center Presenting Sponsor. The event takes place Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. and officially kicks off The Dallas Opera’s 61st Season.
            The Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House will be a spectacle of style with the Vincent Prothro Lobby transformed by a runway and elegant luncheon, with a bevy of socialites and arts supporters celebrating the start of the 2017-2018 Season. The highlight of the show will be designs by Salvatore Ferragamo, the Italian brand renowned for its elegance and excellence. The Dallas boutique is located in NorthPark Center. FIRST SIGHT/FIRST NIGHT Chairs are dedicated philanthropists Dianne B. and Mark H. LaRoe; Fashion Show and Luncheon Chairs are Lisa Cooley, Ciara Cooley, and Bella Cooley; and FIRST SIGHT/FIRST NIGHT Honorary Chairs Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger.

             FIRST SIGHT Fashion Show will be produced by Rhonda Sargent Chambers of RSC Show Productions and attendees can expect a flurry of exciting Salvatore Ferragamo styles. The creative team of Design Coordinator Larry Leathers and Event Advisor Jeffrey Horn will complete the exclusive affair. The gourmet luncheon will be created by renowned culinary master Wolfgang Puck. Tables range from $5,000 to $7,500 and individual tickets are $500. THE DALLAS OPERA 2017-2018 SEASON MAINSTAGE INFORMATION

The Dallas Opera celebrates its Sixty-First International Season in the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in the Dallas Arts District. Evening performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated.  English translations will be projected above the stage at every performance and assistance is available for the hearing impaired.  With the exception of FIRST NIGHT, The Joy and Ronald Mankoff Pre-Opera Talk will begin one hour prior to curtain, at most performances.
