Turn of the Screw – Streamed Live This Weekend

by Suzanne Calvin

Clear the Sunday afternoon calendar!  Benjamin Britten’s “The Turn of the Screw” is being streamed live from Glyndbourne for your listening pleasure.

Thanks to Gregory Sullivan Isaacs at “Theater Jones” for the link, and note that if you already have plans for Sunday afternoon, you have a few weeks to catch the performance on “The Guardian’s” website.

Be sure the check out the photo from the 1954 performance featuring Peter Pears and David “Blow Up” Hemmings in his pre-mod-days!  Actually, the role of Miles was written specifically for the talented young Hemmings.
