Keeping Up Presidential Appearances

by Suzanne Calvin

I hope you caught this interesting analysis from Dallas Morning News Classical Music Critic Scott Cantrell on his first impressions of General Director George Steel. I would, however, beg to differ with him on the JFK haircut thing. It’s really closer to RKF’s, if memory serves. And, in any event, if you’re going to compare the look of our new general director to one of the Presidents, I have to vote for actor Kenneth Branagh as a youngish FDR in “Warm Springs.”
