    Community Performance The Elixir of Love at the Latino Cultural Center

    Sung in English and set in Texas, this 50-minute version of Donizetti's The Elixir of Love tells a tale about a young man who hopes to win the heart of his true love, with the help of one Doctor Dulcamara and his mysterious potion! This performance is comedic, fun, magical and relatable; the perfect opera introduction.

    Join the Dallas Opera and the Dallas Museum of art for a interdisciplinary partnership uniting the performing arts with the visual arts in a new and exciting way. Each Music & Masterpieces program includes a performance by world-renowned musicians inspired by the DMA's special exhibitions or collection paired with a gallery tour. Tour will be immediately following the performance.*

    May's Music & Masterpieces will feature Soprano Ava Pine and Tenor Andrew Bidlack accompanied by pianist Kate Stevens with the theme, Love: in mixed musical media. A musical exploration of the many different facets of love, paired with projected selections from the permanent collection. A recital of works from a variety of genres, all inspired by the most essential of human emotions: love.

    Admission to the Museum is FREE. Docent led tour of the exhibit is also FREE but space is limited. Tickets will not be issued for the performance, all seating will be general admission in Horchow Auditorium.
