In Beijing’s Forbidden City, a barbarian prince risks everything to win the hand (and ignite the love) of the cold and calculating Princess Turandot. The Dallas Opera, in partnership with Cowboys Stadium and with support from The Dallas Foundation presents Puccini's Turandot for our second Simulcast in a sports venue. The performance will include Lee Hoiby’s Appetizing Short Opera “BON APPETIT!” Starring Susan Nicely as American cooking icon Julia Child. Immediately following will be the world’s largest cartoon screening (based on screen size): Warner Brothers Classics 1957 masterpiece, “What’s Opera, Doc?” starring Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd.
