Community Performance of Jack and the Beanstalk
Join the Dallas Opera as we partner with the Dallas Public Library to present a family friendly performance of John Davies’ operatic interpretation of the classic children’s tale Jack and the Beanstalk. Sung in English and set to the music of Sir Arthur Sullivan of “Gilbert and Sullivan” fame you won’t want to miss this charming and witty opera that teaches the timeless lesson of The Golden Rule.

Join the Dallas Opera and the Dallas Museum of art for a new interdisciplinary partnership uniting the performing arts with the visual arts in a new and exciting way. Each Music & Masterpieces program includes a performance by world-renowned musicians inspired by the DMA's special exhibitions or collection paired with a gallery tour.*
Inspired by the exhibition Posters of Paris: Toulouse-Lautrec and His Contemporaries, Nathalie Paulin, a French-Canadian soprano, will perform music ranging from late 19th-century French opera to art songs and Parisian bistro chansons.
Soprano Nathalie Paulin has established herself in the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Far East as an interpretive artist of the very first rank. Winner of a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Outstanding Opera Performance, she has collaborated with internationally renowned conductors including Jane Glover, Antony Walker, Sir Roger Norrington, Richard Bradshaw, Andrew Litton and Dallas Opera's own Grame Jenkins on both the concert platform and in opera.You won't want to miss the very first in this new series.
